Mick Herron was born in Newcastle and has a degree in English from Balliol College, Oxford. He is the author of the Slough House series well as the Zoe Boehmas mystery series set in Oxford. He now lives in Oxford and works in London.

Anna Bentinck was trained at Arts Educational Schools and has worked extensively on radio, television, film and theatre, including leading roles in Romeo and Juliet and The Taming of the Shrew for the BBC English Rep.
