This episode is slightly more serious than the previous books, as Olive learns a lot about her step-mother’s past and comes to see her more sympathetically than before – though she’d still never want to live in the same house. I was totally wrong about the identity of the murderer, although the clues were there, when I can usually pick them at the first or second appearance, so the mystery really was a mystery. Looking forward to the next book.
